The Radio division of Bell Mobility plans, designs, builds, and operates Push To Talk (PTT) Land Mobile Radio networks providing managed services for government agencies and Public Safety users. The work is very diversified and requires autonomy on the part of employees.
Job Duties/Accountabilities:
* The incumbent will take part in various activities related to the deployment of Trunked Mobile Radio networks.
* The successful candidate will be responsible for:
* Network implementation engineering
* RF antenna subsystems design
* IP-based equipments and servers integration
* Provisioning and configuration of network equipment
* Dispatch console system implementation
* Implementation and as-built documentation
* On-site installation support and system optimization
* Testing and validation of network equipment
* Radio terminal configuration
* Assisting in the technical preparation of bids and proposals
* Assisting in the development of system upgrade and cutover strategies
Required competencies / essentials skills:
* A degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Sciences or equivalent;
* Minimum of five (5) years experience in Land Mobile Radio(LMR), telecommunications or related field;
* Strong organizational skills;
* Creativity, resourcefulness and an ability to independently learn new technologies.
Preferred additional skills:
* Experience in design and configuration of IP-based networks, Windows and Solaris server systems, RF antenna systems, LMR systems and data networking;
* Experience with customer interface/issue resolution
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills;
* Knowledge of Motorola Smartzone 4.1 and Astro 25;
* Knowledge of APCO P25 and DMR trunked radio networks;
* Knowledge of SQL, AutoCad, Planet EV, Mapinfo.
